His multi-business journey began during the pandemic with the launch of Speak to My Assistant LLC, a remote support company founded in response to the growing demand for virtual administrative services. The business quickly gained traction by helping entrepreneurs, creatives, and professionals stay organized and efficient in a rapidly changing work environment.

In 2024, James leaned fully into his creative roots. Writing under the name C.M. James, he published his breakout supernatural vampire series,  Alpha Blood - The Battle for Sanguis, which has since grown into a best-selling saga, now on its fifth installment. The series blends suspense, fantasy, and complex moral themes, quickly earning a cult following and recognition in its genre. He also released 11 other titles within a year incluing "Dreamfall: Worst Night-Affair," and "Hi, My Name is C.M. James" which are published in the library of congress.

With the success of his own writing, James saw the opportunity to help other authors bring their visions to life. Later that year, he launched "C.M. James Writes LLC", a full-service publishing agency dedicated to helping writers unleash their stories through editing, formatting, distribution, and even serialized storytelling and audiobook integration.

Then, in December 2024, tragedy struck with the passing of his younger sister, Nashville singer-songwriter Larysa Jaye. In her honor, James expanded into the music industry, founding "C.M. Jaye Music" a country-soul label with a mission to preserve her voice, legacy, and creative vision. Through her posthumous debut single "No Other Face", C.M. Jaye Music has begun a rollout that includes a documentary titled "Jaye", a forthcoming EP and LP, and a new wave of genre-blending artists who embody the soul and grit Larysa stood for.

"I didn't plan any of this, I built it out of purpose," James shares. "Speak to My Assistant was about service. Alpha Blood was about expression. C.M. James Writes was about helping others, and C.M. Jaye Music is about legacy."
