East Tennessee Company Scores the Highest Global Food Safety Rating

KODAK, Tenn., Jan. 13, 2025 ~ Kodak, Tenn. - Swaggerty's Farm, a family-owned and operated sausage company, has once again proven their commitment to food safety by earning the highest rating in BRCGS Global Food Safety standards. This marks the thirteenth consecutive time that Swaggerty's Farm has received the highest grade possible in the audit conducted by BRCGS, the leading authority in global food safety risk assessment standards.

The audit, which took place this past fall, was held at Swaggerty's Farm facility in Kodak while it was undergoing a 50,000-square-foot expansion project. Despite this ongoing expansion, Swaggerty's Farm maintained their high standards and achieved an AA 2024 score.

Paula McGee-Davis, Swaggerty's Farm Food Safety and Quality Control Manager, expressed her pride in the team's accomplishment. "As we continue to grow and expand, our commitment to our food safety culture remains our highest priority," she stated. "I'm so proud of our team and feel our score reflects on the culture of our company and how we operate daily."

In addition to meeting third-party governing bodies' standards, Swaggerty's Farm also trains and educates various team members as internal auditors. This proactive approach allows them to address concerns and mitigate risks throughout the year.
