GRAY, Tenn. - Tennsun -- A group of homeschooled teens from across the country have just made history as the first participants of the brand new National Academic Homeschool Competition (NAHC). The Old Schoolhouse® and the College Options Foundation teamed up to host the first virtual competition. The NAHC provides homeschooled students ages 12–18 the opportunity to put their knowledge to the test nationally. Parents are pleased, too, as the event is a chance to test for success and takes the pressure of the college process off their shoulders. They have fun while focusing on science, math, and English. Plus the event reinforces their homeschool curriculum and improves their SAT and ACT scores."

The competition is broken into three age divisions:

• 12–14 year-olds
• 15–16 year-olds
• 17–18 year-olds

Divisions are calculated based on the student's age on the first day of the competition. All students who registered for the NAHC participate in Levels I and II of the competition. Level II will be held February 1–15, 2023. The two test scores will be combined to identify the top performers in each age division who will then move on to the National Championship round, culminating in awards and prizes, to be held April 17–20, 2023. The entire competition is virtual.
