CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Tennsun -- With more than 120 enthusiastic supporters gathered in South Pittsburg on Tuesday, Larry Montague officially launched his campaign for Marion County Mayor, signaling a bold new vision for the future of the county.
The kickoff event brought together a cross-section of community members—small business owners, educators, first responders, and local families—united by a shared commitment to see Marion County thrive under responsive, experienced leadership.
"I'm running for County Mayor because I believe Marion County's best days are still ahead," Montague said during his remarks. "This campaign is about putting our people first—improving infrastructure, growing local jobs, and making sure every community has a voice in the decisions that shape our future."

Montague, a Tennessee native, emphasized his deep roots in the state and a track record of collaboration, fiscal responsibility, and results. His campaign platform focuses on economic development, workforce training, fiscal responsibility, and transparent government.
The high turnout in South Pittsburg reflects growing momentum behind Montague's candidacy, as residents from across the county look for steady, accountable leadership to guide Marion County forward.
