FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Tennsun -- Are pen pals an activity from a bygone era? Even in this age of technology, Multiples of America doesn't think so. They see pen pals as a unique connection in a world filled with chat rooms and social media. That's why Multiples of America now offers a pen pal program called Multiple Match.
"We want this program to be a source of support and learning for members," said Mary Adcock, Multiples of America President. "We also expect some might find a friendship that goes beyond parenting. Perhaps they find their match also shares a love of reading books, baseball, or even a common delight in listening to Taylor Swift!"
Perhaps a parent is looking for someone who understands the challenges of raising multiples who were born prematurely. There's a match for her.
Or maybe someone is looking for another parent who knows how to navigate the school system with a special needs multiple. There's a match for him.
Or parents with teens headed to college are in search of others navigating those applications and questions. There's a match for them and more.

Whatever the stage of parenting, Multiples of America is helping parents make a Multiple Match with other parents from across the country. Members sign up for the service on the organization's website where they can request to be connected with another parent with similar interests or parenting/life challenges, or they can ask to be randomly matched with another member.
Matches are made over email. Then the parents decide whether to continue to check in with each other by email, text, phone, postal mail, or even meet up at the organization's annual convention.
Multiples of America (also known as the National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs, Inc.) is a 501 (c) 3, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting families of multiple birth children (twins, triplets and higher-order multiples) through support, education, and research. Founded in 1960, the organization serves nearly 6,000 members in more than 130 clubs across the country. For more information, visit our website, http://www.multiplesofamerica.org.
